Best Pizza in Dubai: Roman, Neapolitan, and Everything In Between

Dubai takes its pizza seriously. Here's where to order.
Pizza delivery in Dubai has quietly become one of the most competitive food categories in the city. International chains, independent restaurants, and delivery-first concepts all compete for the same diner - and that diner, having eaten well across multiple cities and cuisines, has developed strong opinions about what a good pizza actually is.
Three homegrown UAE brands have earned their place at the top of that conversation: Pizzaro, 800 Pizza, and Catch22. Different styles, different personalities, different reasons to order — but all built in the UAE, all part of the Kitopi family, and all doing pizza at a level that makes the international alternatives feel unnecessary.
Here's what separates them to the best pizza in Dubai, and what to order from each.
Pizzaro - the Italian that gets you
There's a specific kind of Italian restaurant that every food-literate city eventually produces: one that understands the cuisine well enough to have its own point of view on it. Pizzaro is that restaurant for Dubai.
The tagline - "the Italian that gets you" - is doing real work. Pizzaro isn't trying to be a faithful recreation of a specific Italian regional tradition. It's building an Italian pizza experience for people who know what they like, appreciate quality, and want something that feels genuinely considered rather than templated. Operating across the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain, Pizzaro has built a brand that is as comfortable with occasion dining as it is with a classic weeknight order.
The Pizzaro Base is the foundation everything is built on - a signature developed by the brand rather than a generic platform. That's the detail that separates a pizza concept from a pizza brand.
What to order from Pizzaro:
Classic Pepperoni - pepperoni on the Pizzaro Base. The order that tells you everything about whether a pizza brand can execute the fundamentals before you try anything more ambitious. Pizzaro can.
Meat Feast - spicy pepperoni, beef salami, smokey turkey slices, veal sausages, black pepper, cheddar, and soujook slices. A pizza built for people who want every meat on one base - and executed with enough balance that no single ingredient dominates. The soujook is the regional detail that makes this version specifically worth ordering.
Chicken Pesto Pizza - chargrilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and artichokes on an Alfredo mozzarella base, finished with basil pesto and fresh rocca. The pizza most likely to become a regular order once you've tried it. The sun-dried tomato and artichoke combination with the Alfredo base is specifically excellent.
Buffalo Chicken Bites - crispy chicken bites in spicy buffalo sauce with ranch dip. The starter that makes the meal feel complete.
Available in: UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain.
800 Pizza - creating the real taste of Italy since 2007
Where Pizzaro has its own point of view on Italian pizza, 800 Pizza has something different and equally valuable: history.
Creating the real taste of Italy since 2007 - that line carries genuine weight in Dubai's food scene, where longevity is rarer than it sounds. 800 Pizza has been doing wood-fired, thin, light, crispy Roman-style pizza in this city since before most of the current competition existed. With a presence spanning dine-in and delivery, it is one of the most established homegrown pizza brands in the UAE.
The wood-fired oven is the detail that matters. Roman-style pizza is a specific and demanding format requiring both the right equipment and the right technique. 800 Pizza has both, and has had both for nearly two decades.
What to order from 800 Pizza:
Classic Margherita - tomato sauce, Italian mozzarella, Parmesan, and basil leaves. The order that reveals everything about a pizza kitchen's standards in four ingredients. 800 Pizza's Margherita earns its benchmark comfortably.
Diavola Pepperoni - beef pepperoni, tomato sauce, and Italian mozzarella in the Roman style: thin, light, crispy, with the base doing as much work as the toppings.
Bresaola & Rocket Neapolitan Pizza - tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella, beef bresaola, rocket, shaved Parmesan, and balsamic dressing. The most classically Italian pizza on the menu — bresaola and rocket is a combination that has earned its place on Italian menus for decades, and the buffalo mozzarella and balsamic dressing elevate it further.
BBQ Chicken Pizza — breaded chicken, smoked scamorza, and mozzarella on a tangy BBQ-tomato base, topped with roasted capsicum, red onions, ranch, and togarashi spice. The smoked scamorza is the ingredient that makes this one specifically interesting — a southern Italian cheese that adds a depth of flavour most BBQ chicken pizzas don't have.
Available in: UAE.
Catch22 - "You Wanna Pizza Me?"
Catch22 is Dubai's award-winning family restaurant - Leading Family-Friendly Restaurant and Leading Homegrown Restaurant - and its pizza offering deserves a section entirely its own. The menu section is called "You Wanna Pizza Me?" which tells you everything about the tone: this is pizza built for fun, for sharing, and for the kind of table where everyone has a strong opinion and everyone leaves happy.
Where Pizzaro and 800 Pizza approach pizza from an Italian authenticity angle, Catch22 approaches it from a crowd-pleasing boldness angle. The pizzas are loaded, theatrical, and built to photograph - the kind that arrive at the table and immediately become the centre of the conversation.
With locations at JBR, Dubai Hills Mall, City Centre Mirdif, and City Centre Al Zahia, Catch22 is also the only brand in this guide where you can eat the pizza in a dine-in restaurant rather than ordering delivery exclusively - though delivery is available too.
What to order from Catch22:
Melty Margherita - The classic you can't mess with - unless you're Catch22. Loaded with molten mozzarella, fresh basil, and a golden drizzle. The version of a Margherita that prioritises generosity and melt over restraint. For a restaurant with Catch22's energy, this is exactly the right approach to a classic.
Pepperoni Party - A melty cheese pull, sizzling pepperoni cups, and that rich tomato hit - the menu's own description calls it "the kind of slice that makes you forget to share." That is not an overstatement. The pepperoni cups rather than flat slices are the specific detail that makes this version worth noting - they hold more fat and crisp at the edges in a way that flat pepperoni doesn't.
Burrata Bomb - Crispy, cheesy, loaded with attitude. A rich tomato base and double cheese hit with a soft burrata crown. The pizza for anyone who believes burrata should be on more things than it currently is. They're right. This proves it.
Truffle Trouble - Creamy truffle cheese sauce, shaved truffle, and juicy mushrooms. The most indulgent pizza on the menu and the one most likely to be ordered by the table's most decisive person. The truffle cheese sauce base rather than tomato is what makes it - rich, aromatic, and the kind of pizza that earns a specific craving rather than a general one.
Available in: JBR, Dubai Hills Mall, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Al Zahia — dine-in and delivery.

Really enjoyed reading this post — the breakdown of Roman, Neapolitan, and modern pizza styles in Dubai was both informative and fun to read. I liked how each brand was described with its own personality instead of just listing menu items. The section about 800 Pizza’s wood-fired approach and Catch22’s bold presentation really stood out. I recently came across a similar discussion on a review blog called https://samedaydiplomas.com/, and it was interesting to compare different perspectives on what makes a great pizza experience. Thanks for putting together such a detailed and engaging guide for pizza lovers in Dubai!
