Kitopi Announces New Country Leadership as its continues to expand its presence in the region

Kitopi, the world’s leading managed cloud kitchen platform, has announced new additions to its leadership team, across its markets in the MENA region.

Mario Arjan will join Kitopi as Managing Director of the UAE.

Mario co-founded JJ Chicken in 2010 and grew the concept to multiple locations in the UAE, before exiting in 2018. He then went on to develop his knowledge in cloud kitchens, founding Hacked Kitchen in 2020, to create and scale virtual brands into global brands.

On joining Kitopi, Mario said, “In my role of managing the UAE market, I look forward to supporting all the amazing teams to optimize operations, continuously exceed customer expectations, and most importantly, support in executing Kitopi’s mission to satisfy the world’s appetite!”

Matteo Bianchi joins Kitopi as Country Manager of Qatar, setting up Kitopi in the country, replicating the success its found in other markets.

Matteo started his career in Private Equity, then spent 6 years in consulting with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) before going on to open a fast casual chain around authentic italian food.

When asked why he decided to join Kitopi, Bianchi said: “I believe that the future of food is delivery, but no company has cracked the right business model to make this channel sustainable. I believe that Kitopi is the only company doing that, and with that, making it the best place for brands to go when interested in great quality delivery.”

Kitopi will also see current Country Manager of UAE, Jihad Bou Nasr, step up into the role of Regional Managing Director - GCC.

Having joined Kitopi in 2019, Jihad will now be overseeing all GCC markets, focusing on expanding to new territories in the region, along with driving efficiencies and best practices across markets. Prior to joining Kitopi, Jihad was a principal at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

On his promotion, Jihad said,”I am excited and humbled to be taking on this new role. We have had a fantastic journey scaling up the UAE business and I’m looking forward to the next chapter!"
