Kitopi Announces New Leadership

We are delighted to announce two new key hires to our leadership team - Martin Perrin as Managing Director of Kitopi Bahrain and Imad El Fay as Vice President of Strategy.


The announcement follows Kitopi’s latest growth and expansion strategies, which has seen us investing in some of the best regional food brands as we launch new markets in the region. In their respective roles, Martin and Imad will be instrumental in driving these strategies forward.



Martin Perrin - Managing Director of Bahrain


Martin Perrin

With over 17 years of F&B experience across the UK and GCC, where he has held multiple leadership roles for some of the world’s most recognisable brands such as Starbucks, Shake Shack, McDonald’s and YO! Sushi. Martin brings a wealth of industry experience to Kitopi. Martin was most recently Operations Director at Al Ghalia group in Bahrain, overseeing both international franchise brands and local concepts.


In his role as Managing Director of Bahrain, Martin will drive Kitopi’s next phase of growth in the country. Along with building the capabilities of Kitopi Bahrain across all aspects of the business, Martin will focus on expanding Kitopi’s reach in the country and bringing Kitopi’s best brands to Bahrain consumers.

Imad El Fay - Vice President of Strategy and Growth


Imad El Fay

A graduate of Harvard Business School, Imad began his career in strategy consulting with Booz & Company and McKinsey & Company, where he has led a large number of strategy design and transformation programs for private and public companies in the Middle East and Europe. Following his consulting stint, Imad served as Partner and Venture Builder at HB Investments, a private consumer fund, where he led their private investments and incubator.


Beyond his full-time work, Imad is an avid writer and has a regular newsletter (Adventures in Venture Building) where he writes about business model innovation and shares insights on building ventures in the Middle East.


As Vice President of Strategy and Growth, Imad will be overseeing the organic and inorganic growth across all Kitopi’s markets. On joining Kitopi, Imad commented: ‘I'm very excited to join such an incredible group of people and work with them to revolutionize the food economy in this region and beyond’.
